Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice...

Hi all,
Here I am sharing a Baby Girl mini album with Gorgeous soft details, a coordinating card, and a sweet fairy Watercolor Image for the cover!

I was asked to make this mini album with gray and pink hues, and I wanted to make sure it kept its innocent look. So I set out to make it super sweet! Each page has little scalloped tags that fit pictures inside, as well as pockets that fit tags for little notes, special cards, bows, butterflies, hearts, and flowers.

All in all, I tried to fit as much sweetness as possible in this little book. I even made rolled flowers and painted little white flowers which I covered in glass glitter. This, and the soft ribbon gave it a  shabby touch, without being too glittery. To finish, I hand-painted the fairies on the cover in heavy watercolor paper, and this gave it a super special look and soft texture.

Today I am posting a short tutorial that comes in handy. I cover how to GROUP, ATTACH, ARRANGE and HIDE layers and shapes to maximize the use of your paper!. Using my Cricut Explore Air 2, Design Space and a FREE File: Creative Bug Flowers, I made custom flowers that coordinate perfectly with the papers in my cards.

Recipe: Cricut Explore Air 2, Creative Bug Flowers in several sizes, Flourish Card,Creative Cards, and Design Space Font: Sunday Swirls Bold, Spellbinders Dies: S4-295, and S2-077, Cardstock: Momenta. Other materials from my stash.

I hope this is useful to you, and that it answers some questions you may have! Please let me know what other types of tutorials may be helpful to you. I am happy to oblige!

Please enjoy this video, I apologize in advance for the abrupt editing, and I appreciate your feedback. I also should have mentioned that I used the fast-cut feature for some of the die cutting, and made this card very quickly. Overall, I am very pleased! Be blessed!

Hope Frame with Bible Verse

I was inspired to write this Bible verse to go along with this picture frame and Hope banner. It can be found in Psalm 31: 24, and it reads: "Be strong and take heart all you who hope in the Lord." Suffering from any type of cancer is devastating, and the words of David in what is one of the most beautiful books of the  Old Testament can really shed some light into a relationship in which the only comfort that really made a difference was the one promised by our very maker. If you, or someone you know is suffering from this horrible disease, my hope is that you find comfort not only in your surroundings and those you know, but also in the love of our God, just as David did in the darkest moments of his life.
For this project I used the Cricut to make the banner and flowers. I hand-painted the Bible verse and background with watercolors, color pencils, and ink. TFL!
I'll also be sharing this over at Link up for Pink.
