Tonic Studios Jewelry Box Tutorial

 Hi Crafters,

 I’m sharing my latest tutorial showing you how to assemble the Jewelry Box from Tonic Studios. I’ve used Tonic Studios Cardstock and Nuvo products among others. To make this box extra special, I used Nuvo drops to color the Beautiful Board leaf tuck-ins from Reneabouquets. Using two different colored drops as if they were paint, I "Colored" in the leaves, creating a gradient of color and shine. The rest of the box was splattered with Gesso from Liquitex, and dotted with Nuvo drops in a gorgeous Copper color. The Venetian Beautiful Board pieces also got an antique verdigris finish by using Nuvo Stone drops mixed with Dream Drops. I love using mixed media techniques to make my projects come alive, and this was no exception. The dusty peach flowers are from Reneabouquets, and in my video, I show you how I add glimmer by using first Nuvo Glimmer Spray in Aztec Gold, then top them off with Gaudy Girl Glitter Glass. Lastly, I also added touches of Golden Era Glacier Paste in key places, and topped little corners with Pink Microbeads from Reneabouquets for more texture.

Fall Treasures DT Project for Reneabouquets

Hi Crafters,

I am sharing my Design Team project for Reneabouquets; Fall Treasures.

You will see how I have incorporated gorgeous items from Reneabouquets as well as some of my favorite Tonic Studios dies and Nuvo products to create wonderful fall themed gifts.

For this project, I made a layered card and jewelry box. To begin, I used a base of heavy Cardstock that I layered with gorgeous Tonic Studios designer series papers, Nuvo drops, and Glimmer drops. Then for the added Shabby look, I layered a gorgeous piece of Wide Floral Embroidered Lace in Ivory with a Venetian Embroidered lace in Coffee. This is coupled with two Beautiful Board Ornate Pumpkins, available in different sizes to suit your needs.

Upon a closer look, you can see that I altered the Pumpkins using Nuvo products: Pens, glitter, sequins, glimmer paste, inks, and Glitter drops all helped to make this project shine! To top it off, I made a double bow with a small bronze tag.

Along with this card, I made this lovely jewelry box using my Toni’s Studios luxury papers and set of dies. To make it come alive, I topped it with Nuvo drops, then made a lovely floral collage on top using Reneabouquets butterflies, mulberry flowers, and Tiny Treasure butterflies.

For added shine on the peach mulberry flowers, I added Reneabouquets Gaudy Girl Diamond Chunky glass glitter, as well as golden Nuvo paste from Tonic. The beautiful board leaves also got a light touch of Nuvo drops in colors to match. Everything was sprayed with Gold glimmer spray from Nuvo for added shine.

Here you can see the gorgeous Tiny Treasure butterflies. These are in Sweet Dreams Dusty Peach, and Into the Mystic. The colors and shine on Reneabouquets’s butterflies are just gorgeous!

For a metallic verdigris finish, I used Nuvo drops on the Venetian scrolls that I also added to this box. I love the texture on the finish!

Memory Dex card using Tonic Studios Craft Kit # 35 and Rustic Rose

Hi Crafters!

I recently made this little Memory Dex card using Tonic Studios Craft Kit # 35, and some of its Gorgeous contents. It may be a small card, but it's full of lovely details only Tonic can bring you!

 

To begin, I used one of the double sided papers from the Upcoming Rustic Rose Collection. It's wonderful to work with double sided papers, as it makes it easier to coordinate your projects. Here, you can see the base of my card, and the matching flowers, are both made with the same paper. To make the little flowers have an extra bit of whimsy, I added  some shine with Nuvo Glitter.

The adorable tag I used in a horizontal perspective gave my little card some beautiful embossed detail. I added a bit more sparkle to it, by using Shimmer Powder in falling leaves on the layer that tops the tag, and Nuvo Jewel Drops for a faint green trail. I finished my card using the stamped phrase "Friends" on a small banner, and added Nuvo Crystal Drops in Heritage Rose and green pearls to match.
