Use Cricut Design Space 3 to Make a beautiful Glue Gun holder!!

Thank you for joining me!
There are several tutorials available to make your own version of this project. They are all beautiful, and I decided it was time to give it a go!
This is just my version, but you know I had to use my Cricut Explore Air and make it pretty!!
First, gather your supplies. This means a haul trip to the $$ store, where you will find a glass piece for the bottom and a candle holder. Go for something heavy, as this is meant to hold your glue gun and keep it from sliding off your table.
The size of the opening should allow your glue gun to rest comfortably. I was fortunate to find one that had an opening large enough for my glue gun, and has a favorite Bible verse from the book of Joshua!!
I used the Gold glitter vinyl & my weeding tool (retro Cricut user here!)
Ensure you make your image smaller than the perimeter of your glass base. I made mine 5' round.

To cut the Vinyl, I used the custom setting in Design Space 3, before releasing the mat, verify that this has cut completely, and if you are in doubt, you can simply press the Cut button before releasing the mat for a second go around.

Once I weeded the vinyl, I noticed the bottom is actually silver, and just as beautiful as the top!

This vinyl came with the Strong Transfer tape ** I do not prefer this tape**, you may use the regular transfer tape from Cricut, or even contact paper.
Next, to make the glass pretty...
To release it to your surface, burnish the vinyl to the glass surface and peel away gently at an angle. I used a bone folder.
You may use an epoxy glue that adheres glass and ceramics to adhere your candle holder to your base, and now you have a stunning piece to hold your glue gun or any little trinkets on your table!
There are many versions of this out there, I hope you have fun making your own!

World's Best Dad - Monocle Steampunk Card

Thank you for joining me!
Father's Day is soon approaching, and I was inspired to make a Steampunk style card with a wonderful gear background image from Cricut's Design Space. This card was fun to make, and I hope that you also enjoy it!

This card features an elegant image of a man in a tall hat, wearing a bow tie, and monocle.
The colors are masculine, with a black background full of gears. This adds to the Steampunk style of the card.

The white background is also embossed with several mustache images. His monocle is made of vinyl, a long-lasting sturdy material.

To finish the 6' square card, The title reads World's Best Dad, on movie tickets across the front.
You may gift this to dad with a set of movie tickets to complete the theme!
This card is made with high quality card stock, and the inside is blank to add your personal message. It also includes customized black matching envelope.

Using your Vinyl Scraps, and Stamps!

Thank you for joining me!
Today I am showing you a short tutorial on what to do with leftover scraps of printable or indoor vinyl.
You may have pieces of this left over, and are wondering what to do with it. This is just one of many ideas!

I decided to try stamping it, and create custom washi tape with a Santoro London Gorguss girl stamp. I used a Bic marker to color the background first, and stamped the image with Versafine Onyx Black ink.

This ink is water resistant, and will allow my image to be permanent once dry!

To make the polka-dots stand out, I used a black sharpie to color them in.

It matches another roll of Washi from my stash!

All that was left to do was to cut it out, and my Tonic Studios Tim Holtz scissors make this a breeze!

I applied it to the border of my PC monitor, where I will be adding all of my favorite washi tapes!

I hope you try this, and use those leftover scraps of vinyl! This type of vinyl can be applied indoors, or to your favorite projects. I also used the vinyl on mt Father's Day Monocle Steampunk card!

Extreme 16

Happy Creative Friday!

I think you can say I'm tearin' it up! ( Pun intended!)
This card was made as a special request, and I was happy to oblige. As it is titled, it is for an Extreme 16, and I was happy to be able to easily design and make the entire thing with my Cricut Explore Air 2!

I used Ranger Distress ink in Vintage Photo, a WeRMemory Keepers embossing folder from the Geo collection, and metal numbers from my stash. The distressing in white that left "Treads" all over the outside of my card were made using a tread cutout as a stencil and white gesso. I also drew the small details of the tread on the exterior with a black sharpie for contrast.

I was also able to make the inside banner with my Cricut's Write and Cut feature. I love how easy it is to attach words to images and let the machine do the writing!

The papers made this card very easy to put together they are from the Fancy Free collection by Pink Paiselee, as well as Kraft cardstock and black paper from Recollections.

I hope you enjoy this masculine birthday card. I am thrilled with the results!

Be Brave Mixed Media Easel Card with The Runaway Gorguss Girl Stamp.

Thank you for joining me!
Take a look at this beautiful easel card I made with the Gorguss Girl Stamp The Runaway!
This stamp set is absolutely beautiful, and I wanted the image to look whimsical and fun.
I used Several supplies to achieve the end result, and I am quite happy with the soft and sweet colors that emerged from playing around with my Sennelier Watercolors, Prismacolor Pencils, and Ranger Distress inks. I used a mixture of all, and I love being surprised by how the inks and paints will blend and make their own story.

The front of the card has the image stamped and colored using Sennelier Watercolors, and Prismacolor Pencils on Mixed Media paper by Canson.
I also embossed the banner and hearts, added gold acrylic paint throughout as a highlight, and finished it with a few gems, a beautiful trim and red star.

The inside has a beautiful frame that I stamped and embossed and also distressed with Ranger Distress inks. To add depth, I also colored in the lace portion with Prismacolor pencils, to match the background paper. The finishing bow adds a feminine touch.

The Runaway Stamp set includes the images as you see above. It is a beautiful and versatile set!

The other sets also had elements I used in this card, such as the Washi stamp, and the Lace frame and the star.

I hope that you enjoy this and are inspired to use your stamps and supplies!! Be encouraged, be blessed, and be brave!!- Raquel

Mother's Day Shaker Card, and Cricut Design Space Simple Mother's Day Card

Thank you so much for stopping by! You may be here because you were watching my youtube channel, or because you've seen one of my pictures regarding a card or project on Instagram, or Facebook.
Whichever may be the case, I thank you for stopping by,  and here is a small video showing you some of the cards I made for Mother's day. (This post is rather late, but I want to make sure that all of my videos and projects are listed here for reference.) If you have not yet seen it, then following are some pictures and descriptions.

This card began as a Simple Mother's Day Card from the Cricut Design Space Make It Now projects , and I finished it with a small rose doily, a large white doily, some pretty blue birds, and some sequins and twine. The original design looked incomplete when I finished it, so I gave it my own twist! I also added Ranger Liquid Pearls to the birds to accent their details.

I used rolled roses which I made and Martha Stewart flowers in peach.

This card was very easy to make using several dies from my stash, and an Anna Griffin Embossing Folder: Reflected Damask. I used Ranger Distress ink in Abandoned Coral to bring out the embossing in the paper.
I also used a border em bossing folder for the inside of the card. and finished it by layering several dies, a cabochon I made with a mold and painted in Martha Stewart Gold Acrylic paint, and I made it into a shaker using Gold colored Tulle and several sequins and beads.
Here is the video where you can see the results! Thank you for stopping by and be blessed!

Here's my latest project!
