Blog Candy / Thank You!

Oops I forgot to mention the ink too! Sorry for the quality of the video. Hollywood studios called and said they needed their cameras back, so what's a girl to do? Thank you for watching and go see Kimberly and say hello!

That's Hot/ From My Kitchen

I had a little trouble with my computer not wanting to get all my pics uploaded :( but here are a couple of the ones I was able to get of this lil' thank you card I made for a sweet friend. It's a punny card, but that's what I was going for. The die cut is the Oven from From My Kitchen. I also used the Cuttlebug and embossed the "HOT" as well as Glaze medium for dimension. The edges are all inked with Tim Holtz ink asn Chalk ink. The paper is My Minds eye, and scraps. I love comments!

Altered Picnic Basket

I was blog-surfing yesterday and came across a beautiful site: http://egenblogg-rantho.blogspot.com. I was so inspired that I had a try at making this pretty little basket. Now my question is what to put in it. Perhaps it will be a place to store ephemera, since it has that look to it. I recycled cardboard as the base, painted it in white acrylic, and since I was going for the shabby-chic look, I dried it with my heat gun. This worked out perfectly and really cut down on time. All the paper is Heidi Grace, and the embellies are assorted. The butterfly is from K& Co. I also used stickles and inked the edges to give it a mossy look. I'd love to know what you think!

Old West/ Room Sign

This is a wall hanging I made for a friend who needed a gift with a western theme. The cuts are from Old West and I used Tim Holtz Distress inks as well as grungeboard. I kept it all monochromatic so that is doesn't clash with the décor she already has. I also used a little felt to give it some texture on the boot and playing cards. I really enjoyed making it and hope she likes it also! TFL!!

Woot Woot!!

Mini Album/ Create a Critter, MM, TBBM, Gypsy Font, Cuttlebug

Back in April I was fortunate enough to win some blog candy from the ladies at BBTB2. One of the prizes was this yummy birthday paper stack that I was able to use on a gift for a little friend. I loved the papers and incorporated them to this mini book with lots of dies, rub-ons, bling, flowers and some tucked-in surprises. TFL!  And thanks to the crew at BBTB2!!

Wild Cards/ Teacher Appreciation

This is what I made for my son's teachers on behalf of the class. The inside of the card had room for a gift card to slide right in. I made the pocket with the Gypsy, and used Wild Card for the card and envelope, plus added a little scalloped circle to the envelope using Mini Monograms. I laced a ribbon through the card and tied a bow on top, distressed the white paper and all edged with Tim Holtz distress ink and added little pearls. The sentiment was computer generated. TFL!

Here's my latest project!
