Thank you

I'd like to extend a huge THANK YOU to all of you who have taken part in sending young Elizabeth a card of encouragement. I have to share what I've been able to learn from this experience.
In planning this card I looked up the meaning for Elizabeth, a name found in the Bible only twice. It's meaning is "God's promise", and as Psalm 145:13 says, "The Lord is faithful to all his promises and loving toward all he has made." We don't always know the reasons for which children suffer, or why innocent lives have to endure pain or discomfort, but I can attest to the faithfulness of God in the midst of all our troubles. To those of you who were touched by this little girl's circumstance, I ask that you pray for her family, and if I'm fortunate enough to find out any good news, I promise to share it. May God bless you all!-Raquel

Mermaid Pop Up card using Cricut Design Space 3

Thank you for stopping by!
In this video tutorial you will learn how use Cricut Design Space 3, Print & Cut, and other little details to make a stand-out Mermaid card for any occasion!

There are 3 videos total.

In the 1st you will learn how to add a Pop-Up element, using Score lines with Cricut Design Space, and shapes available in the Cricut Access library.

In the 2nd video, you will learn how to Add Text to personalize your card.
***Key points are to always EDIT in groups, allowing yourself to work in sections. Once your text looks as you like:  Select the entire text box, flatten it, then attach it to your shape. It will automatically cut your shape and keep your text as a print option.***

The 3rd video will explain assembly, as well as the "Bleed" option to printing your shapes. I hope you enjoy learning how to use all of these awesome elements in Cricut Design Space3. Please leave me feedback, or a link to where I can see what you have created!

Hope Frame with Bible Verse

I was inspired to write this Bible verse to go along with this picture frame and Hope banner. It can be found in Psalm 31: 24, and it reads: "Be strong and take heart all you who hope in the Lord." Suffering from any type of cancer is devastating, and the words of David in what is one of the most beautiful books of the  Old Testament can really shed some light into a relationship in which the only comfort that really made a difference was the one promised by our very maker. If you, or someone you know is suffering from this horrible disease, my hope is that you find comfort not only in your surroundings and those you know, but also in the love of our God, just as David did in the darkest moments of his life.
For this project I used the Cricut to make the banner and flowers. I hand-painted the Bible verse and background with watercolors, color pencils, and ink. TFL!
I'll also be sharing this over at Link up for Pink.

OMG Moment

So have you ever had one? You know, an OMG moment? I end that phrase with "gosh" by the way. And yes, we all have OMG moments, and for that occasion, here's a card! Interpret as you wish. I'd like to enter it into Crafty Creations Challenge #111- In Stitches, and into Scrappy Moms  Smiley Cards challenge. TFL!
