Embroidery Hoop Card with HoneyBee Stamps

Hi crafty friends!

Today's post features a 5" square card with my signature texture and detail overload! I have used the Lovely Layers Stitched Elements from HoneyBee Stamps, along with the Circle Embroidery Hoops. Included in the collection are two different sized hoops and 24 element dies that allow you to truly personalize each hoop to your liking.

For the heart trio, I used different colored thread, and stitched onto the pierced paper hoop center, before adding it onto paper that I colored with distress ink and splattered with pearlescent watercolor. The hoop is also colored with Nuvo embellishment mousse, and so are several of the buttons.

One of my favorite elements is the small thread spool, which does include a matching thread die, but I chose to wrap with pretty red twine to match the buttons afinished it with a small heart charm.

Use patterned paper to create your own envelopes. I did so here, using a WeRMemory Keepers punch board. 

For the background I chose a 3D embossing folder from Spellbinders called Distress Mix to add more texture and topped the paper with white ink to help the different images stand out with a delicate color.

For the sentiment, I used a Glitter Wishes sentiment from Spellbinders and gold foil with the help of the Hot Foil system. To make the thimble look realistic, I used holographic foil which I adhered to paper, then cut out using the layered dies.

Vintage Christmas Decor DT Project for Reneabouquets

Hi crafters,

This month I have the pleasure to share with you this Vintage Christmas Home Decor Piece with Beautiful Board pieces from Reneabouquets, items from my stash, and a repurposed board.

I began this decor piece with a board that I covered with Christmas themed scrapbooking paper from my stash. It all came together with the coordinating beautiful board pieces, which I was able to color with different inks from my stash. The Medium Decorative Scrolls are guilded in gold Nuvo flakes, and topped with Small Holly and Berry Corners.

The top of the piece also has a swag of Christmas Red Mulberry Paper Poinsettias, Roses & Holly Leaves. These I altered with bronze Nuvo drops and gold spray. I also tucked small pearls guilded in gold between the flowers.

The Beautiful Words Small Merry Christmas Laser Cut Chipboard is also guilded in gold, backed with the Venise Lace die cut pieces that I distressed with Ranger inks, and topped with one of the Beautiful Bits Snowflakes. I also added Cranberry Translucent Glass Microbeads. Sprinkled throughout are Beautiful Bit snowflakes and painted to match the color scheme and topped with little red pearls and gold gems.

To make this warm scene, I also painted a fireplace and topped it with one of the Beautiful Box Small Square Shaker Boxes. This is also adorned with a Beautiful Board Small Holly Flourish Laser Cut Chipboard and pieces of Printed Beautiful Board Small Holly And Berry Corners With Tuck Ins. These shakers are so versatile, because you can color them to suit your needs!

To finish this piece, I also colored a Beautiful Board Small Shabby Christmas Tree, topped with different colored gems and baubles. This is also grouped with a Printed Beautiful Board Small Christmas Holly who also has with her some adorable golden Jingle Bells. To ground this, I also distressed pieces of Beautiful Board Wildflower Elements Laser Cut Chipboard. To bring everything together, I also used bronze and gold glimmer paste for extra shimmer.

Flowers with Cricut Design Space, and Cricut Explore Air 2.

Today I am posting a short tutorial that comes in handy. I cover how to GROUP, ATTACH, ARRANGE and HIDE layers and shapes to maximize the use of your paper!. Using my Cricut Explore Air 2, Design Space and a FREE File: Creative Bug Flowers, I made custom flowers that coordinate perfectly with the papers in my cards.

Multimedia Pieces with Butterfly Stamp and Ranger Distress Inks

Today I am showing you some of my multimedia pieces inspired by a lovely Butterfly, and Ranger Distress Inks.
I had tons of fun recycling materials for this one-of-a-kind project to beat the cold weather (yes, I have over 20 inches of the white stuff outside my window!)

My Recipe: Recycled Cardboard, and packing envelope.
 Liquitex Basic Acrylic Gesso / White
 Ranger Distress Inks (Several).
Once Those were all applied, and the ink and Gesso were still wet, I sprinkled Embossing powders in Blues and Yellow and heat embossed the areas.
Hero Arts G1243 Large Butterfly Stamp Neenah White Cardstock (80lb), colored using a pearlescent palette of watercolors, and Derwent Inktense Pencils.
I used several dies from Spellbinders, Sizzix, and Ali Express that I cut out of the same paper. These were all painted using the same inks, and some I embossed with Bit of Paisley Cricut Cuttlebug folder.
