Birthday Themed Explosion Box

Thank you for stopping by!
It had been years since my last Explosion Box, and I needed a quick Birthday gift to contain a gift-card. I was surfing through Youtube and decided why not?
This was the perfect way to make my small gift to my bestie look more personalized.

This is the view from the top. I added colorful flowers and a pennant with the sentiment.

The inside pops open to reveal a 3D cup. In it, I placed a gorgeous teabag ( you're seeing a paper rose in the picture)
The small card in this picture contained the sentiment, and housed the gift-card, but the box had a small set of personalized cards also, that she can use for notes.
The note cards all coordinated with soft colors. I used my Cricut to cut them out. as well as the envelopes.

I made a quick video, and the recipe for this 3D card is:
Cricut Explore Air2/ Design Space 3
Cup of Love Dies from The Scrapping Cottage
Paper : ItFactor / WeRMemory Keepers, Others
Love Elsie Stamps/ Claire Pep Rally
Washi tape
  Ranger Distress Inks
Gesso

  1. Oh, yeah! A lot of people are making explosion boxes now days. My cousin just gifted me one on my birthday. She made it herself and I was so surprise to see that. It does look beautiful. There is a workshop happening in one of the NYC venues and I am going there to learn more of such DIYs.
