Queen Bee Handbag and Sketchbook DT Project for Reneabouquets

Hi crafty friends,
For this month I want to share with you another fun project I made using Items from Reneabouquets and Tonic Studios dies.
I wanted to make something ultra lush, as I would be working with the Glass Wing Queen Bees from Reneabouquets. As we all know, there is only one queen in the hive, and for this queen, a beautiful handbag and sketchbook are essential!

Here is the couple with the hexagon shaped handbag covered in a beautiful handmade flower bouquet. Each handmade flower is delicately sprinkled with Gawdie Girl Pink Chunky German Glitter Glass. Grouped along the top of the handbag are also Beautiful Board Hexagon Elements Laser Cut Chipboard pieces that are embossed in gold, and scattered with Moonstone beads. I also added layers of embossed vellum resembling honeycombs, and hand-colored roses made with a Tonic Studios stamp and alcohol markers. Underneath is a piece of Ivory Wide Floral Embroidered Lace. This will surely provide a safe landing for any queen bee!

Along the side of the handbag, I wanted to ensure to add a handle, so I crafted one out of gold cord, and attached it to the bag with Tonic Studios die cuts that I layered with gold and black cardstock. Small black sequins top off the faux clasps. The base is also dry embossed in a honeycomb pattern, and topped with cascading hearts created with Nuvo expanding mousse and Finnabair golden nugget effect paste. The entire thing is also sprayed in gold.
Here you can see the queen bee front and center. She tops a piece of Beautiful Board Large Stackable Honey Bee Pattern that has been altered with Finnabair golden nugget effect paste, and sprinkled with pale pink microbeads. It all rests on the hexagon embossed front of the handbag.

Take a closer look at the detail in the Glass Wing Queen Bee. They are so amazing!

Now, lets look at the sketchbook! It fits comfortably inside of the handbag, but it is also made to fit the theme very nicely. On the cover, you see another grouping, only this time I used the Beautiful Board Medium Honey Bee Chipboard. To make it cohesive, I also colored it using my Nuvo alcohol markers and Nuvo Gold marker. The decorative pieces are also sprinkled with Gawdie girl pink glitter and moonstones, and they all rest on a bed of honeycomb chipboard pieces topped with vellum honeycombs, and lovely red roses. The phrase "Inspire",and the Notebook pages are all cut using Tonic Studios dies.

On this page, I recycled a piece of clear packaging and created a page by embossing it in a honeycomb pattern. Using a lovely stamped phrase shared by a friend, I adorned the page by framing it out with more vellum embossed pieces as well as the hand-colored roses and yet another gorgeous GlassWinged Queen Bee. In the background you can see the pages, They alternate between sketch papers and mixed media papers for a fun sketchbook.

Never forgetting the words that inspire me to create... I incorporated some scripture verses on key pages in this sketchbook. Here, I adorned the page with a piece of Beautiful Board Large Stackable Honey Bee Pattern, only this time I cut it in half to fit my page, added black embossing powder to make it shine, and sprinkled it with small moonstones
On this page I did the same, only here I embossed the honeycomb pattern beautiful board in gold, added moonstones and gems from my stash, and added a beautiful Proverb.

For the last page, I decided to add a pocket. I dry embossed and stenciled the paper, then added photo corners as a decorative element. To finish, it, I added a piece of applique given to me by a sweet crafter, and altered it using gawdie girl pink glitter, pearls and gems from my stash, and a beautiful
This concludes my project share, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have! Please visit the links for your convenience, and don't forget to watch the video for more details.
Thank you for stopping by, and as always, I hope that you can Be inspired, Be Blessed!

Ethereal Mini Album

Hi friends,

today I am sharing with you the sweetest little Ethereal Mini Album made with Items from Reneabouquets!

I incorporated items to make a soft and tender looking book that will be a very special keepsake.
On the cover:  A Victorian Heart Doily tops the paper covered Beautiful Board Tag. I also added elements to complete this cover with whimsy; the butterfly on the lower right cover is from printed Beautiful Board, and comes as a set with other pieces, including the tag. The silver crown and fairie are reminiscent of children's story books, which always inspire me. To ground this cover I cut pieces of the Beautiful Board Heart Lattice, Roses topped with Glass Glitter and Moonstones, a small skeleton leaf filled with champagne Micro beads, and the heart is covered with the glitter and beads, and topped with a gorgeous Tiny Treasures Sweet Pea Baby Blue Premium Paper Glitter Glass Butterfly

The book opens with a vintage bow topped with a  White Pearl And Rhinestone Button.

For the Spine and Back cover of this Mini Album, I wanted to continue the garden-like feel. I covered the spine with Ivory Wide Floral Embroidered Lace, small beautiful board gears, a gorgeous Pendant blue dragonfly, and the back cover also was adorned with a beautiful printed Beautiful Board fairie, as well as a carefully placed piece of Beautiful Board heart lattice.

The inside of this book is equally adorned using beautiful pieces to complement the cover. On this page: Scrolls top off the embroidered Ivory lace, layered with the Beautiful Board Victorian Snowflake clock, a delicate butterfly, and a small gear topped with a moonstone. The delicate little roses and leaf all work together for a shabby look that helps tell the story in this album.

Here you see that every snippet of lace can be used. Especially if topped off by the Cotton Candy flat-back pearls...

This delicate page has a border of lace topped with an altered clip that has a center of Champagne Microbeads as well as Glitter Glass panels, and a small Moonstone bead tops off the itty bitty gear.

The Chunky Glitter glass helped me top off this dragonfly clip, and on the opposing page, a small yellow butterfly tops off a pocket adorned with a border piece of Vintage Lace.

This small Heart clip also shines with Glitter Glass as it tops off a shabby belly band of layered tattered papers. This compliments the opposing page nicely, as it adds sparkle against the softness of the vellum shaker flip tag.

Lastly, another little star topped with glitter. This completes this post, and I hope that you have enjoyed the examples of how you can incorporate these products into your book making. As always, thank you for your time, and I hope that you can Be inspired, Be Blessed!

Thank you Renea for the opportunity to have a go at playing with these marvelous goodies for the month of February! It has been much more delightful than chocolates!

Multimedia Pieces with Butterfly Stamp and Ranger Distress Inks

Thank you for joining me!
Today I am showing you some of my multimedia pieces inspired by a lovely Butterfly, and Ranger Distress Inks.
I had tons of fun recycling materials for this one-of-a-kind project to beat the cold weather (yes, I have over 20 inches of the white stuff outside my window!)

My Recipe: Recycled Cardboard, and packing envelope.
Liquitex Basic Acrylic Gesso / White
 Ranger Distress Inks (Several).
Once Those were all applied, and the ink and Gesso were still wet, I sprinkled Embossing powders in Blues and Yellow and heat embossed the areas.
Hero Arts G1243 Large Butterfly Stamp Neenah White Cardstock (80lb), colored using a pearlescent palette of watercolors, and Derwent Inktense Pencils.
I used several dies from Spellbinders, Sizzix, and Ali Express that I cut out of the same paper. These were all painted using the same inks, and some I embossed with Bit of Paisley Cricut Cuttlebug folder. I hope that this inspires you to have some fun, and break out of the box with whatever materials you may have on hand. Thank you for watching, and please comment and subscribe to my channel!
Be blessed, Raquel💜💙
