Gift Boxes-Christmas cuts

This silhouette is backed with several layers to add dimension & I used some "snow" effect on the little hat thingy. I also used my white gelly roll pen on the perimeter.

On the opposite side, I placed this ornament die cut with the same "snow" on top, and the holly is accented with stickles. The remaining two sides only have the holly. I finished it with two colors of ribbon.

A little bling nevah hurt anything! All the die cuts are also embossed, yay!

The snowman is from Gypsy wanderings...

Reindeer is also fom Gypsy wanderings. I finished this one off with  three kinds of ribbon.
Well, I guess I've not been posting much due to my lack of picture-taking lately. I have been busy making Christmas goodies however and here are the latest little boxes I've learned to make & YES, another new favorite!!! I got the instructions from Cricut chick's page. Her tutorial is on video for those who really need to see how this is made, but seriously, it's probably the easiest thing you'll ever make. So give it a try!! I didn't use elastic on my boxes since I didn't have any handy, and I really needed my sweatpants to last me at least one more winter, so I wasn't about to rip those up. A huge thank you goes out to Cricut chick for posting her versions of these!!

Advent Calendar/ Christmas/ Plantin Schoolbook

Well here it is, my first Advent Calendar! I got the directions from Kathy at Paper Phenomenon, and although I couldn't get it to look perfect, my kids were happy with it (free candy every day for 24 days??-they better be happy!). So I did my job!
The paper was from DCWV, I picked it because it matched our décor and the Santa and sleigh were from the Christmas cart. The numbers were cut at 1" from the Plantin Schoolbook cart, and I made Santa's gift bag & will be adding it also.
Who are these people?!! And where's my reindeer??!!

You can't see it, but there's a lil' box behind the sleigh!

Totally matches my walls!!
A couple of things I learn every time I try one of Kathy's projects are that I am not good at handling a glue gun-no matter what! And, boy can I improvise!! Hey, it's a gift, and I intend to use it. Poor santa looks perplexed, he doesn't know whether to title this list as Nice or Completely Naughty! Enjoy...

Thanks Karla!

Christmas Card using Christmas Cartridge/Stamp

As a kid, my brother hated dolls with spooky eyes. Fast forward a few years-he still hates dolls with spooky eyes. So naturally when I saw this image of a doll on the Christmas cart from Cricut, I had to try it. To make up for the spooky doll I used a stamp from Inkadinkado-love their stuff. And used coloring pencils, ink and stickles to embellish the stamp, matted it several times, and also used a MS punch for the border on the white cardstock. I also added a piece of ribbon with a very small amount of gold in it to give it a little "vintage" look. Look closely at her eyes...she's looking right at you!

Vrooom! /Mickey & Friends/ Boy Birthday Card

The original design for his card was made by Maren Benedict. Of course, I tweaked it and made it a lil' different. The truck is from Mickey & Friends, and the Windmill is from some other cart (totally forgot). I also used a stamp for the tracks (it's supposed to be a ribbon stamp!) and the truck on the cover slides back & forth!!! That totally made my day, 'cause I'm easily amused.
I also used some Tim Holtz and Stazon ink, and some other stuff. Hope ya like!

See? It starts here...
& ends here!

Get it? Loads of fun?

Fall Cards/ Smiley Faces/Blackletter

The little leaves are separate stamps. I used pop dots for dimension.

The pumpkin is embossed with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots.

Oops! Wasn't dry yet!
I used the free download of Smiley faces for the Pumpkin card and Blackletter for the frames on both cards. Paper is Card Kraftstock and DCWV Fall collection. I also used Glaze medium on the pumpkin leaf and Tim Holtz distress ink for the edges. TFL!

Backpack Mini Album using Tutorial from Kathy King

Ok, 1st I have to say THANK YOU! To Kathy from Paper Phenomenon for sharing her creativity and files and laughter!! This project was entirely her idea. Happy Birthday Kathy! 2nd, I own a Mac, not a pc, therefore getting files onto my "G"-impossible! Soooo after much waiting, procrastinating, life in general getting in the way, I was finally able to finish this backpack mini!!! I have to say I learned a lot of "what NOT to do" while making this. Mainly, don't use the same craft space to paint/scrap in because you WILL get paint on your backpack mini. :(. I won't be repeating that mistake anytime soon. Also, I love this idea, and might make more. Maybe, not making ANY promises! (sorry pics are entirely out of order)

Little Treats/ TBBM/ Paper Pups/ A child's year

I made these little treat bags for my son & his little friends. They had a special popcorn party in his class and he brought these to share. I used TBBM for the popcorn boxes, the "smile" is from A Child's year, and "Yum" is from PPups. The scallop tag is from mini monograms and I added felt acorns and pumpkins as well as a little bling to finish them off. Paper is DCWV. TFL!

Mini mini

A bird cage was the perfect container for this little mini.

The teacher's initial.

A flower brad acts as the "pull" for the insert tag.

Stamped image with Versamark and heat embossed.

The insert is punched with MS punch and free cut & doodled. I also added a star brad

Felt brad and ribbon from Making Memories.

Wood mounted stamp from M's.

Stamped image is embossed edge was made with MS punch.

Back page

Entire Book!

Front made with SU stamps, and Glaze medium
Smallest mini I ever made! For my DS teacher-to go with the candy tin and it was so super easy to make! I can't recall who did the tutorial for it on you-tube, but if I find the name, I'll edit this post. It has tons of tags for her to put her baby's pics in. The paper is from My Mind's eye, and Basic Grey.

Teacher Gift using Create a Critter

I recently made this little tin for my DS teacher. It was her birthday and all the little kiddos signed their names on the acorns, and the sentiment says "nuts about u". The tin is full of chocolates , 'cause flowers are not so tasty. The pics are not so great but she liked it!!

Hello Kitty Mini Album

This post is loaded with pictures because it's a MINI!! It's a birthday gift for a Hello Kitty fan, and I intend on making more of these for sure!! I also used Gypsy wanderings and Gypsy font, Doodlecharms, TBBM, George, Wild Card, and some stickles, MS daisy punch, bling, enamel, acrylic paint, you name it! It's girly, so there! I also made a birthday card to go along of course!

Here's my latest project!
