So you thought I was gone?

Well, technically I have been m.i.a. being sick is no fun, but I've been busy making a few little things. They are mostly for a fundraiser I'll be taking part in that will be for an amazing cause. I can't wait to see what the other artists will be doing. I'm donating the painting I recently made of a fairy in a meadow and I hope some lucky little girl gets o take it home! Hope you're in the mood for some pics!
I've had this stamp for a while now, and finally decided to use it for a thank you card. I added glossy accents to the hearts. It's colored with watercolors and I purposely tore the edges of the paper to add texture.

I made some Mother's Day cards for the fund raiser using my Cricut, it sure made things a lot easier! This lovely card is from A Child's Year. The stamp is Hero Arts.

The flower is stamped, chalked, an distressed. With a little gem center.

The colors in this paper inspired the Iron gate style of the front.

I also added flowers, and glossy accents to the centers.

The inside of all the cards are finished with little details.

This set has a lovely vintage lace border and I used the paper to decorate the front. The card base is also from A Child's Year.

This card was slightly more masculine, but I added a heart, and a flower with twine as well as  white ink on the border to soften it a bit.

Another heart is added on the inside.

This card has a Tag from Sweethearts, and a stamp with some added sparkle. It's very subtle and soft.

Another Mother's Day card, this time with lace, a flower, and a Martha Stewart Border.
Inside of Mom's Day card.

To house the raffle tickets on my table, I made this basket which I learned to make from Splitcoast Stampers. I thought it would help "dress up" the table. The flowers are from GYPSY wanderings, and the border is a MS punch.

I added a brown satin ribbon and a white organdy one to tie it up nicely.

This flower got a bit of lace treatment, so as not to waste any of it!

These little coupon books might come in handy for little ones to give their mommies.
I printed several promises on the tickets, and made them with the Mother's Day 2010 cart-I LOVE IT!!

Finally, some chocolate clad baskets, with a little bling and lace, 'cause chocolate is to blame for a lot of us being mommies in the first place, LOL! shhh! These will have tissue paper to finish them off. THANKS FOR LOOKING!!

Thinking of You

I have used this image before, but since I was making a card and didn't just want to toss the papers into my stash-I decided to make another card with the leftovers and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. The stamped image is Nurse Nora from Swiss Pixies, colored with watercolors. The paper and ribbon are from American Crafts, and from my old stash. I used the Cuttlebug to emboss the orange paper and a Martha Steward punch for the white border. TFL!

I used glossy accents on her wings & other small details.
The sentiment is from Fiskars, and I used white Versamark ink on the edges to soften the colors.

Mojo Monday /week 185

Hi there, I made this little card to enter in the challenge at Mojo Monday. I used a stamp I won from Kimberly Trevino and papers from American Crafts (awesome cardstock!!!) as well as papers from my stash and a Martha Stewart punch for the scallop edge. The diecut behind the little girl is from Cricut's Mother's Day 2010, and the stamp is from Sugarplums. Her name is Rainy Day Emma. I added glossy accents to give her some "dew" left from the rain. She has sunnier days ahead!! TFL!
This is the sketch:

Here's my card:
Tab is from From My Kitchen, MS Border Punch, Fleur de Lis from Mother's Day 2010, mini flowers from Fiskars punch.
I love her kickin' red boots!!

The orange flower is from American Crafts, as well as the ribbon & Cardstock. I colored her with watercolors & added Glossy Accents.

My fairy designs

I've been working on some little designs and decided to share them. Here are some fairies I designed recently. The are all mixed media. Let me know your thoughts!
This one is just "hanging" out on a flower. She's had a long day!

This one is perhaps the most subtle so far. The pictures don't capture all the detail, but she's holding a flower and also has a lily in her hair.

This one is just fluttering about, having a good time!

Fairy Painting

This is a little something I've been working on. It's also mixed media. She's currently untitled.  Hopefully I'll have a little more details on this later this month. TFL!

Music ATC Swap

Hello there, These are some ATC's I made for a Music ATC swap over at Alilscrapofheaven. I've been wanting to make ATC's and it was a great excuse to participate, and also use some different techniques on a small scale. I enjoy working with different mediums, with my favorite being Acrylic paints. I realize this doesn't pertain to scrapbooking, but since I prefer painting, I decided to include these on this blog as well. It's impossible to reproduce the same exact pattern on each ATC due to the way I paint, but I tried to keep these as similar as possible for the challenge, and also used Prismacolor pencils and India ink. Let me know what you think!
The challenge only required 4 ATC's-easy peasy!

I tried to make it very colorful-since it was a request that they be "music & dimension". I decided to add dimension through color contrast.

Here's my latest project!
