Tonic Studios Winter Buddies

Hi friends,

Today I'm sharing some fun and easy embellishments made with the Tonic Studios Winter Buddies. These have been around for some time, but this was my first time playing with them, and I had lots of fun creating different versions of these little personalities!

Here you can see I made a Snow girl, and I used Nuvo Glitter Pen on the pompom decorating her hat. To mkake the hat, I simply inverted the same piece I used to cut the scarf! Genius right?
I also adhered heart-shaped sequins to her scarf, to make her extra sparkly!

Here comes the rest of the gang!
The boys get to play along, and just check out the laces on the penguins shoes!!!

For this little girly penguin, I even added a bit of yarn around her scarf, and it added a completely different look! Her earmuffs and her skates are holographic also!
As you can see, these are tons of fun, and you can truly personalize them to fit your liking.

I hope that this serves as inspiration for how you can use the same dies to come up with different variations of the same characters. I didn't want to go through the trouble of adhering the eyes, so I used markers to draw ones I liked.

Thank you for stopping by!

Cards using Tonic Studios Craft Kit #15

Hi friends,
I hope today find you well! I am sharing a few cards made with my Tonic Studios Craft Kit #15. Let's just say I wanted to get my feet wet with this kit, and I decided to incorporate some of the lovely dies into some much needed cards.

Here is a peek at most of the items I used on this card! WOW!
It looks like a lot, but this is because I LOVE to use what I have. The image of the little nurse has been in my stash for YEARS!

C.C Designs Nurse Nora,  Stampendous Daisy Thanks, AC Bible Journaling Stamps
There are several layers on the front and inside of this card. For the background, I selected a soft green and blue card that I distressed and inked on the edges. On top of that, I used Kraft card that I cut using the book cover die, and also inked to make sure it had the same look throughout.
Gelly Roll Pen, Nuvo Drops, Ranger Distress Crayons & Oxide Ink
I used some lovely stamps that I colored using Nuvo Alcohol markers, and even added some earrings with Nuvo Jewel Drops. This added a delicate shine to my stamped image.
The sentiment is a partial Biblical verse from American Crafts, which I also love to incorporate into my gifts and cards. It was finished off with some glimmer, and a yarn bow for softness in a lovely bright blue.
The colors in this card set were all cohesive, and made it easy to keep incorporating different hues and textures. Watch my video for more pointers!

Thank you for reading, and of course, more importantly,

Christmas Centerpieces

Hi friends,
This post is regarding some handmade flowers, and what I used them for.
I have been playing around with my Cricut and Cameo machines, and stretching myself to see what I can accomplish. Today, I am sharing one of my latest projects with Home Decor.
I used my Cricut to design these poinsettias, (not a Cricut file) and decided to use creams and golds. Each flower is hand colored, embellished with ink, enamels, and chunky glitter. I loved making them, and they added the perfect touch to this vase.

To make the entire ensemble coordinate, I also etched several leaf designs unto the glass. This took an ordinary piece, and made it look luxurious!

Here is a better view of the etching on the glass. It takes patience, but the results are stunning!!

For my other designs, I used my Cameo. I must say, these flowers were a bit more work....a LOT more work. (not a Cameo file). I am so very happy with the results however, as I had to really challenge myself, and the results were exactly what I envisioned!

Each was slightly different, and I grouped them, or placed them singularly onto the ribbon I tied around each glass vase.

All of these vases are also etched, although it is difficult to see that in the pictures.

This picture shows the same shorter vase from a different perspective.

All of the centers were meticulously prepared with care. I used seed beads and other pieces as well as sequins. The flowers also sparkle with gold.
I hope this has been motivating to you. Keep working with your supplies, and of course,
Be inspired, Be Blessed!
