Altered Picnic Basket

I was blog-surfing yesterday and came across a beautiful site: http://egenblogg-rantho.blogspot.com. I was so inspired that I had a try at making this pretty little basket. Now my question is what to put in it. Perhaps it will be a place to store ephemera, since it has that look to it. I recycled cardboard as the base, painted it in white acrylic, and since I was going for the shabby-chic look, I dried it with my heat gun. This worked out perfectly and really cut down on time.
