"Here little birdie!" Card / A Child's year

Here's a little card you can make with those " left over" scraps you get when you make cuts using A Child's year. I decided to make a card using a sketch from Mojo Monday using this image. It makes me think that cat's about to PoUnCe! I embossed the "scrap" piece & added it to the card. I also skewed the sketch to fit the cut. It's just my little tidbit. Let me know if you use it! TFL!!

The flower & brad are made of felt.
I used the cuttlebug & swiss dots folder to emboss the paper.

Sneaky peaky!

Ok- I confess!
I can't wait when I have a project I want to share... but I can't just yet because it'll ruin a possibly really cool moment. After all, when you get something in the mail, it's always a little more special if you're not quite sure what it'll be... but we are curious little cats aren't we? So here's a sneaky peaky & you'll have to check back later to see what it was. On that note-leave me a note here letting me know if a surprise blog candy would be appealing to you or anyone you know-I just realized my blogiversary came & went & not even a candle was lit...( insert snicker "yeah babe- that's life!")

Curious?

Butterfly & flowers

Hi everyone,
I made this little card for a special someone using Wild Card & Paislee. I did make a matching envelope but forgot to include a pic ( so sorry). The card base is in white, then cut again in the blue paper. I made the flowers from Paislee using two different flowers from the "button" feature. They were altered a little by my little hands & embossed. The butterfly is stamped twice, layered & was also embossed. I added a huge bow & finished there. I hope the recipient likes it!! TFL!
The glare is from the actual stem. I used a sticker!
I also added a little bling where needed.

March 2011 Crop Challenge #6 "Triangulating"

I made this page to enter in the challenge over at Life on the Scrap Beach, challenge #6 titled: Triangulating. It's perhaps my favorite type of layouts to make and when I design my paintings it's perhaps the first thing I think of- so it was absolutely in my comfort zone! YAY! I used the font from Printing Press for the first time after seeing how one of my good friends added it to a layout ( & to think I had written it off as uninteresting!) What was I thinking??! I purposely wrote the journaling as if just jotting notes on scrap paper. Enjoy & thanks for looking!!
That's my little stinker making one of his many faces!
Stars were stamped & embossed. I also added dimensional tape to "i".

Letters for "Roll" are metal. Orange paper was cut using Graphically Speaking. Barbed wire is a stamp.

March 2011 Crop Challenge

Hi everyone! This weekend I was peeking at challenges and Kathryn from Life on the Scrap Beach had some fun ones. I decided to participate in the first one which required the use of white space. It was fun to play around with the idea and I was able to complete a 2-page layout! Alleluia!! I was so excited to actually finish it! The tricky part was that I had mentally committed to using the stickers ( since I'm trying to use what I have this year) and at first I was all "Whaaat? how am I going to incorporate these & not mess it up?!!" but then, with a little help from my friend's son Stephen, voila! It came together. Thank you Stephen!! <---he told me to put the pumpkins INSIDE the cart!. Anywho- if you even read this, thank you & thanks to Kathryn for the challenge!
The circle is canvas & a rub on. Stickers from Jolees.

Stitching on pics are rub-ons also from stash.

The journaling stamp was borrowed. Thanks Mandy!!!
The flower is felt.

Buttons & brad were from varied brands. I added the twine.

Create a Critter Card/ Mojo Monday 180 Round or Square?

Well hello there peeps! Here's a little card my son requested for a teacher. I got some goodies this week & he saw the chipboard piece with "see ya later alligator" & told me that his music teacher always uses the phrase. It was only natural then that we should make something for her, so after his input- I made this little card using a sketch from Mojo Monday. The sketches available were to either make a round or square card. I chose square & this is what I came up with. I also used another chipboard piece from the same line to embellish the front of the envelope since it won't be mailed. TFL!
