Dude! Masculine Gate fold Card

These pictures are horrid, but I wanted to post this Gate fold card I made using the Dude! cart. The phrase reads: "Just Chillin", which is very suitable for my brother, so he's gettin' this for his birthday. The palm tree is also suitable, since he does a lot of his chillin at the beach, and the camo paper is just a family thing.
I added distress stickles to the grassy area of the card, since that's pretty much what grassy areas look like on surfing beaches- trust me, it's no place to park your rear...
Yes, those are Lego mats, but you're supposed to be looking at how stunning it is that I finished the inside of this card!
TFL!

Hello Kitty Handbag/ Ipod

Whew! It's been a hectic couple of weeks...Anywho, if you're wondering what to make a pre-teen girl for her birthday, well you must know that Duck Tape is all the rage right now, so if you can manage to make something out of it and not end up all tangled-up or making a big wad of nothingness, then come along, you might want to give this a try...

The HK handbag is made from TBBM, covered in HK DUCK TAPE!!
HK face is cut from HK Greetings, and I added some pizazz with Verve Gel and Stickles.

Even the Ipod from Smiley Faces got some Flocking action, and Glossy Accents to make it shine!
The birthday girl wanted an Itunes gift card, so it went in her little purse and voilá, everyone's happy!

Thank You card/ Hoot n' Holler

This is just a little Thank you card I made with yet, another owl. Her belly got a little glitter, as well as her wings. I think she's a belly dancing owl. TFL!

Christmas Card á la Tammy Faye Baker

I made this Christmas card with Hoot 'n Holler and I was determined it look "different". Well, I'm not so sure what happened, but in my quest for adding a little glitter to the card, I suddenly had a flashback to a television interview I saw years ago. All I can say is "Momma owl reminds me of Tammy Faye Baker!" I don't think this one will go on the "for sale" pile, that is, unless it's a personal request. Enjoy!
Baby bird is singing y'all!

The inspiration for the card...

And we'll call her Tammy... notice papa Owl can't look at her.

Happy Birthday!

I made these birthday cards with the Cupcake image from Create a Critter. The circle and scallop are from Mini monograms, and I added a little button and twine to finish off the sentiment. I fell in love with the background paper, and can't wait to make more cards with it. I hope you like it!

The sentiment is from Stampin Up.

Oh No! Card using Smiley Faces

"Jimmy cracked corn and I don't care"...I'm not sure what that means, but this popcorn paper inspired the use of the Corn on the cob image from Smiley faces to make what I deem to be a really cute card for just about any occasion. I left the inside blank so each person can write whatever "pops" in their mind ... TFL!
I used my Cuttlebug to dry emboss the outer "shell"?

A little Glossy Accents helped bring out the beady eyes and tongue.

Dude! Birthday Card

I'm really enjoying the Dude cart I just got and decided to use my favorite cut from it. This card will be for my older brother who is a former Marine and definitely has all the attitude to back up the boots. I designed it on my Gypsy, used he Cuttlebug for the dry embossing, distressed the papers and used Tim Holts Crushed Olive and Vintage photo inks to give it a more masculine look. I also added "screw" brads and twine. The sentiment is hand-written and I hope to have it available in the future as a stamp...Enjoy!

I used green because it's my favorite color. All elements of the card are from Dude!
Close-up of front.

Inside is also embossed, and layered.
